Thinking about High Reflective White but then would we have to repaint the trim and ceilings throughout the house to match? Should we just go Alabaster on the walls too now? Yup, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore both have a color named Alabaster. Both are very slight, but Greek Villa ends up looking a little bit brighter than Alabaster. I LOVE painted doors! With those warmer tones you have, I think Alabaster is a better choice than Pure White. Your site is amazing and so helpful ! One bedroom doesn’t get a ton of light. I have granite counter tops that are light brown speckled along with some flakes of dark brown/white. Would you go with pure white or extra white for cabinets and trim?? I am a farmhouse style magnolia farms style girl. Or should i paint the cabinets pure white?

Alabaster, Greek Villa and Westhighland White are great shades if you want a white room, but if you want something with a bit of visual interest, Classic Gray is a great, updated neutral shade to choose. They’re both a bit “brighter” than Alabaster. Ceilings always reflect less light (they’re typically painted in a flat finish) and look a bit darker, so painting them a bright white is always good.

SW Alabaster 7008 vs SW Pure White 7005 I am thinking island in espresso.

We are looking for a vinyl or potentially a laminate. This is a hard question! Extra White has bluish undertones while the other two listed are more warm or neutral. I am wanting to paint my walls white. It is a good, not too bright white that still looks white.

Do you think Alabaster will still look fine in a darker home. I personally used SW Alabaster in my guestroom. Walls and trim can be the same color, but I would recommend different sheens (semi-gloss or gloss for trim and satin or eggshell for walls). With the Alabaster I see yellow.

Alabaster will definitely look white, and won’t be too bright. I am worried steamed milk might be too yellow.

My living room, kitchen, and dining are all one room with vaulted ceilings. Right now there’s blue trim everywhere but we’re having it scraped and putting white because we can’t manage picking a color right now.Oh! You could put Alabaster on the walls then, or try Westhighland White or Greek Villa if you want something a little brighter. I was considering Pure White or Alabaster but my trim is light beige color. Alabaster is nice, but its not a very bright white, so when you pair it with a bright white trim, it can look a tiny bit dingy. We picked out Calacatta Lazo for our countertops. Or, Greek Villa and Pearly White would be two colors that would go well together. I am looking for a creamy white with no yellow. It gives you the opportunity to play around and experiment with color elsewhere.Trim, molding and ceilings do not always have to be pure white.Using a color that is a warmer white like Alabaster Sherwin Williams is ideal for those with decor and main wall colors that are on the warmer side.
